IMS teams won 2009 PHM Data Challenge competition
"The PHM Data Challenge is a
competition open to all potential conference attendees. This year the
challenge is focused on fault detection and magnitude estimation for a
generic gearbox using accelerometer data and information about bearing
geometry." (Read more for details.) The competition started on April 10 and
the final submission was due on July 13.
IMS teams won the overall top three including champions in both
professional and student categories. They will be invited to
attend the Annual Conference of the Prognostics
and Health Management Society 2009 at San Diego, CA in September and present
their algorithms.
IMS student team also won the overall champion in the 2008 PHM Data
Challenge competition.
