  • Key researcher in the project, ¡°Smart Machine Pdm Testbed¡± which is a joint project between IMS Center and its member companies.
  • Developed Watchdog Agent® hardware and software platform

o          PC104 hardware platform;

o          TCP/IP based inter-platform remote monitoring system;

o          Realization of the watchdog agent tools such as wavelet package, logistic regression and neural-network back propagation algorithm on PC104 for machine confidence value calculation and prognostics;

o          Windows CE and Windows XP embedded operation system image building;

 

Research Associate, Department of Mechanical Science & Engineering, HUST, December 2002 ¨C April 2004.

  • Key researcher in the project, ¡°Embedded Internet-based Remote Intelligent Maintenance System,¡± which is part of the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (the National High Tech. 863 Program).
  • Developed and commercialized the package of embedded intelligent nodes

o          TCP/IP based inter-platform communication between Windows 2000 and DOS;

o          Realization of the neural-network back propagation algorithm on PC104 for fault diagnosis and simple prognosis;

o          Development of HTTP servers, FTP servers, and SMTP intelligent alarm software under DOS;

o          Multi-thread coding in Visual C++;

o          Coding of ActiveX control components.

  • Developed Dynamic Reconfigurative Virtual Instrument software for automatic control and engineering signal testing using Visual C.
